Italian hard case maker HPRC had some new products to show at BIRTV in Beijing. The most interesting to me was their new HPRC2760W large rolling trunk case. This case measures 690x450x300mm external and 750x510x329mm internally.
Uniquely this case has rugged rubber wheels on all four corners that allow it to be rolled along the floor while laying flat. It can be used as a trolley if you stack other cases on top of it. I also tried it out as be used as a makeshift dolly – you can sit on it and have someone push you along. On a smooth surface this works surprisingly well – the slightest bit of friction and it doesn’t really work. You can also just roll the case as a regular rolling case on two wheels if you desire
Also on show were new HPRC’s new lightweight computer protectors/cable management bags that are designed to be extremely portable and yet organised.
Lastly there is also a new short 6200TRI tubular tripod case. This is a smaller version of HPRC’s existing 6000 series tripod cases. The size is good for smaller tripods but can also be used as a general purpose case for all kinds of gear and lighting equipment.
