The LidarAC App is a useful tool that was developed by Luis Arndt that works with the Tilta Nucleus Nano II. When using the LidarAC TX, LidarAC RX, and a Tilta Nucleus Nano II, the app visualizes real-time LiDAR distance data, focus position, and depth of field in a dedicated handheld interface designed for focus pulling.
The app is currently in Beta on Apple TestFlight.
The goal of the project is to give the Tilta Nucleus Nano II advanced distance and focus visualization tools typically found on higher-end cinema lens control systems.
The way it essentially works in a nutshell is that you have one iPhone mounted on your camera and one connected to the Tilta Nucleus Nano II hand controller. The iPhone mounted on your camera runs the LidarAC TX app, and it sends Lidar data to another iPhone running the LidarAC RX unit that is connected up to the Tilta Nucleus Nano II Wireless Handwheel Controller.
LidarAC RX
The LidarAC RX is a handheld control and monitoring interface for the LidarAC system.
The system uses a second iPhone mounted on the camera (iPhone 12 Pro or newer) to capture LiDAR data and send it to the handheld device.

LidarAC TX
LidarAC TX turns a compatible iPhone Pro with LiDAR into the sensing and transmission unit of the LidarAC system. It captures live camera and depth data and sends it in real time to LidarAC RX. The app enables distance-based focus support features such as spot measurement, 2D and 3D tracking, object detection, face, body, and hand detection, and live spatial target updates.
