amaran has announced its new Halo series, which consists of the Halo 60x (63W), 100x (100W), 200x (200W), 300x (305W), and 600x (610W). These are part of a new studio-focused family of bi-color COB lights designed to lower the entry-level cost for creators.
The Halo series was built to work in anything from home studios to dedicated livestream rooms. The lineup is said to pair high-output performance with compact, space-saving designs and simple controls.
The amaran Halo series complements amaran’s full-color Ray series with a more accessible bi-color solution for everyday creator setups. Compared to the previous generation of amaran COB S lights, the amaran Halo series is
claimed to be brighter, more compact, and simpler to run.
The lights draw the following power:
- Halo 60x– 63W
- Halo 100x– 100W
- Halo 200x– 200W
- Halo 300x– 305W
- Halo 600x– 610W

The Halo 60x has a claimed output of 3,270 lux @ 1m, while the Halo 600x has aclaimed output of 32,500 lux @ 1m.

The Halo Series has the following weights:
- Halo 60x– 1.05kg / 2.31 lb
- Halo 100x– 1.21 kg / 2.67 lb
- Halo 200x– 2.45kg / 5.40 lb
- Halo 300x– 2.85kg / 6.28 lb
- Halo 600x– 3.36kg / 7.41 lb

The Halo 60x & 100x feature a USB-C PD input for flexible powering from compatible USB-C PD sources, including the amaran Peak series (with optional accessories). The Halo 200x, 300x, & 600x integrate the power supply directly into the light, running from a single AC cable for simplified studio setups.

Every amaran Halo fixture features separate brightness and color temperature knobs that give creators direct control without menu diving. Plus, there is a clear, simplified interface.
The ultra-compact Halo 60x & 100x share the same space-saving footprint that makes tight-space lighting effortless. The Halo 200x, 300x, & 600x maintain the same length and width, with a deeper body as you move up the range. At the top end of the range, the 300x & 600x are among the most compact in their tiers.
The Halo series is the first amaran COB lineup to offer DMX control via USB-C on every model. The amaran Halo series makes it easier for studios and production teams to integrate the full family into industry-standard consoles, maintaining a consistent wired DMX workflow across the range (via the optional USB-C to 5-Pin DMX In & Out Adapter).
With built-in NFC, creators can tap to add an amaran Halo fixture in the amaran app in seconds.
The amaran Halo lineup supports the same expanding modifier ecosystem introduced with the amaran Ray launch, alongside seamless compatibility across the complete amaran softbox family.
