SHAPE has unveiled a new Boom Arm and Heavy-Duty Boom Arm for Light Stands, which were designed for professional film, television, and studio environments, to deliver overhead support for lighting, microphones, and essential production accessories.

It is built from CNC-machined aluminum, and it features an adjustable pivot clamp with an ergonomic ratcheting handle that allows for fast, secure angle positioning.
The integrated steel ring allows you to attach counterweights or sandbags for better balance and safety.

It features a 1-1/8″ (Junior) male and 5/8″ (Baby) female adapter, plus a removable spigot with 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 screws.

The SHAPE Heavy-Duty Boom Arm for Light Stands is a rigging solution built for lighting, grip, and other production applications where reach, stability, and precise control are critical. Constructed from reinforced stainless steel, the two-section boom extends from 5.7 to 10′, providing flexible positioning for lights, microphones, and accessories in both studio and on-location setups. When balanced with proper counterweights, it supports payloads up to 33 lb at minimum extension and 22 lb at full extension, delivering reliable performance even with heavier fixtures.
At its base, the arm features a spring-loaded ratchet wheel mechanism, enabling smooth 180° tilting adjustments with reduced effort. Its aluminum collar locks and captive knobs ensure secure adjustments. Universal junior and baby mounting interfaces on both ends provide broad compatibility with stands and accessories.
