ARRI has announced new SUPs for the NIA-1, Hi-5, and a range of other devices within the ARRI Electronic Control System. Key new features include support of extended Sony Venice camera control with the NIA-1 and improved control of the ALEXA 35 Xtreme when using the RIA-1 or cforce mini RF as a radio host.

This coordinated release of new firmware versions ensures that all of the new features and fixes are available across the entire ECS system simultaneously.
Hi-5 & Hi-5 SX SUP 3.3.0
The new SUP enables Hi‑5/Hi‑5 SX support for the ALEXA 35 Xtreme not only when connecting directly to the camera, but also via ECS tool like the RIA‑1, ZMU‑4, or cforce mini RF. The Hi‑5’s Cam screen will now indicate Sensor Overdrive mode and ARRICORE recording, and a new display segment shows the active sensor mode and recording resolution.
Other enhancements when connecting to the camera via the RIA‑1, ZMU‑4, or cforce mini include Enhanced Sensitivity support, long-press user button functionality (e.g., for SDI Zoom (Smart) or Calibrate Lens Motors), and a new Camera Zoom category of user button, allowing control of multiple zoom functions from up to 11 user buttons.
