2026 is a special year because it marks 200 years since photography was invented by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce. As a photographic company, Fujifilm plans to celebrate this milestone with new product announcements and commemorative events.
Fujifilm introduced five new cameras and three new lenses in 2025, including the GFX100 RF, XAF, XE5, XF23mm f/2.8, GFX Eterna 55, GF32-90mm, XD33, and XC3-33mm.
Upcoming 2026 Announcements:
Fujifilm will launch a new program on March 5, 2026, called “Focus on Glass – Untold Stories“, to delve deeper into their existing X-mount lens lineup.
The program will feature discussions on lens philosophy, distinctive features, and future lens ideas from the product planning team. A web page for voting on favorite lens ideas is also under consideration.
