Cinematographer Sam McCurdy ASC, BSC breaks down the creative freedom he had when filming Peacemaker Season 2, working alongside director James Gunn. From handheld camera moves to on-the-fly shot redesigns, McCurdy explains how texture, grit, music, and instinct shaped the show’s visual style.
The second season of Peacemaker continues the story of vigilante Chris Smith / Peacemaker, who finds an alternate dimension where his father and brother are still alive, and the family together is a highly regarded superhero team. It is set after the events of the DCU film Superman (2025). It is produced by DC Studios with James Gunn as showrunner.
John Cena stars as the titular character alongside Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Frank Grillo, and Robert Patrick.
