Shure’s new MV88 USB-C Stereo Mic for IOS & Android is essentially an updated version of their existing MV88 phone-mounted stereo microphone, and it now comes with a USB-C connection. With Apple’s transition to USB-C ports, it doesn’t come as any big surprise that Shure has updated this product so it can connect to the latest iOS and Android devices, as well as any Windows or Mac machine.
The MV88 is an adjustable and positionable stereo microphone. It features a simple plug-and-play interface.
When combined with Shure’s MOTIV apps (available for desktop and mobile), users can access auto leveling and real-time denoising modes, EQ and dynamics processing, and four selectable polar patterns: adjustable stereo (60 to 150 degrees), mono cardioid, mono bidirectional, and raw mid-side.
Pricing & Availability
The Shure USB-C Stereo Mic for IOS Plus Android with 10′ Cable is now available to pre-order for $159 USD. It is expected to start shipping in mid January.
