With the support of Ansoken, a company specializing in light-absorption materials, Capsule Rentals (based in Tokyo) has developed its very own original camera cover, the Camera Kaburi.
A kaburi is used on outdoor shoots when you need shade over the camera, or flipped to the silver side to place the camera on top and make its presence more noticeable.
For the black surface, Capsule Rentals used Daikokumon, the blackest fabric in the world. This material boasts a 99.9% light-absorption rate, making it appear almost like a void when photographed.
The Camera Kaburi is available to take with you when renting equipment, and it’s also available for purchase.
