Old Fast Glass Customs is now taking orders for their new Anamorphic Probe Adapters. These new adapters will work on many of Laowa’s Probe lenses, including: the original Laowa 24mm T14 Probe, Laowa Periprobe 24mm T14 (both Direct View and right-angle Peri-Probe), and all 3 versions of the Laowa 24mm T8 Probe 2.
The anamorphic adapters feature a 1.5x squeeze with amber coatings. They are compact, feature all-aluminum housings, and have standard 46mm threads, which allows you to attach all sorts of threaded filters, adapters, and step-up rings. You can even step up to 77mm filter threads if you want, which brings in a lot of really interesting FX filters.
Coverage is close to FF on the T14 versions, and well beyond Super 35mm on the T8 versions. As the vertical field of view is really wide, you get classic barrel distortion, amber streaking lens flares, and unique bokeh character. You can still focus right up to the front element, and adjust focus the way you normally would on your Probe Lens.
