The external monitor is one of the most important pieces of kit I use. Now more than ever, you need to have a monitor as so many cameras don’t have an EVF or the included LCD isn’t usable outside in daylight. I have bought at least a dozen monitor mounts over the years, and the new Bright Tangerine Universal Monitor Mounts look like a good option.
The Universal Monitor Mounts come in several configurations. For mounting to the camera, you have a 15mm rod mount, 3/8″ AT, or Cold Shoe. I believe these mounts can’t be swapped out, so you will need to choose wisely.
For mounting to the monitor, there is a NATO Clamp or Universal 1/4″ Anti-Twist.
I like the NATO Clamp design, as you can purchase extra NATO Blocks for only $19 USD.

Quick-Release Convenience
The Universal Monitor Mount features a NATO clamp on top: precisely sized to fit the included Quick-Release NATO Rail. The NATO rail mounts to the bottom of any monitor, which then means you can slide them on and off any standard NATO accessory.
Pan, Tilt & More
Whether you’re going low-angle on a handheld shot or doing an overhead view, standing operator-side on a shoot, or sitting behind the camera, the Monitor Mount can handle any point of view. The independent pan and tilt mechanisms give you free articulation: 180° tilting up and down and a full 360° pan. The Monitor Mount keeps you level by providing tactile feedback clicks every 90° turn – ensuring you have the right angle.
Easy Rigging
The base of the Universal Monitor Mount attaches to 15mm rods, giving you freedom to fit the Monitor wherever you like. Attach it to a handle via a Bright Tangerine Top Bar Bracket and 15mm Rod Mount, or give yourself a convenient offset from a compatible Top Plate with the MAP M4 15mm Rod Mounting Bracket. Simply tighten the winged-lever clamp and your monitor will be locked in place.
Clean & Compact
The Universal Monitor Mount QR Kit maintains a low profile on your rig, making it great for minimalist setups. The Monitor Mount can handle up to 2.5kg in weight – more than enough for even some of the heaviest monitors.
