NANLITE cookie & cookie-s USB-C plug-in LEDs with dual-sided lighting

NANLITE has unveiled its new cookie and cookie-s USB-C plug-in LEDs with dual-sided lighting. These are very small LED lights that could be used for a wide array of applications, although they are primarily being targeted at content creators.

Smaller than the palm of your hand, the cookie and cookie-s don’t have internal batteries; instead, they plug straight into a phone, tablet, or any USB-C output device, drawing power directly from it.

They feature a dual-sided design, so they can deliver both hard and soft lighting at three different levels of brightness with selectable color temperature. The soft-light side uses a diffuser to provide soft, beautiful, eye-friendly light. The hard-light side uses focusing lenses to produce concentrated light for extra output.

NANLITE states that they have a high color accuracy with a CRI average of 95 and a TLCI average of 98.

To adjust, simply short-press the control button to adjust brightness, and long-press to adjust color temperature.

They can also be used with the new dual-capture modes on the latest phones by illuminating both sides at the same time. Simply press both buttons on the light at once to turn on perfect lighting for front and back cameras.

Both the cookie and cookie-s measure about 2 inches long and weigh only 21.4g / 0.76oz. Lightweight and compact, their small size allows them to fit easily into a pocket and be carried anywhere. The small size makes them versatile lights that could be used for a wide range of scenes.

The cookie features a round design, while the cookie-s has a square design. Both models are available in three colors: Cyan Blue, Lavender, or Coral Pink.
