ALTCINECAM is releasing its new STL for Sony FX3/FX30 expansion pack next week.
This expansion pack is a low-cost way to build out your rig for cine/doc style work easily and quickly.
While a lot of users like the FX6 because of the size of the camera, the FX3 and FX30 have become extremely popular, however, those cameras often need to be built up to offer similar functionality. The new Expansion Packs aim to give FX3/FX30 users the best of both worlds.
The STL will feature space for an embedded L-shaped cheese plate that will allow you to mount a V-mount and tripod plate directly to the body. Because of this design and physics, you can even screw this cheese plate directly into plastic without heat inserts and it will not come out, even with an extremely heavy load.
