iFootage at NAB 2025 showed a prototype version of a new Z-axis Stabilizer. The new device isn’t named yet, so we will go with Spider Crab Z-Axis Stabilizer since it uses the Spider Crab mounting system.

iFootage sees the stabilizer used with a suction cup for car shots or any moving shots that could have a lot of Z-axis movement.

The mount is a prototype; the final version will be less bulky and lighter. The Spider Crab system is cool. Once you enter the ecosystem, you can change the configurations and devices on the articulating arms.

The arm tension is adjustable for different payloads and can take several mounting configurations depending on the device or camera used.
