Music Vine has announced that they will be launching a new subscription-based model in October.

Currently, Music Vine offers music on a track basis. Depending on the license type, a single track, licensed for 2 minutes can range from $10 for personal projects to over $1,000 if it a large project.

There will be two subscription levels available, the ‘Pro Lite’ at $19.99 USD per month and ‘Pro Standard’ at $35.99 USD per month.

The lite plan is meant for small-scale productions such as corporate videos, wedding films, content marketing and small-budget indie films where the Standard offers broader clearance for marketing, advertising, entertainment and informative content. This plan can be extended to provide clearance for those who are working on very large scale productions, and/or who require clearance for All Media.

In addition to these two Pro plans, there will also be ‘Creator’ plans, specifically designed for YouTubers, personal social media and other creator platforms. These plans will cost $13.99 and $19.99 USD per month.

The main difference between the two ‘Creator’ plans is that the Ambassador option requires you provide a music accreditation when published.

One thing to note is that the prices listed are the discounted rates for signing up to an annual subscription. If you decide to sign up on a month by month basis, the rates will be higher than those listed.

There are already a number of music subscription services in the market with Musicbed, Artlist, Soundstrip and more offering subscription-based music licensing. Most of these services let you listen to the tracks for free as well so you can get a feel of the audio library quality before signing up.
