New Tokina FÍRIN 20MM F2 FE AF E-mount Lens

With CP+ around the corner, things are heating up. Tokina has announced the new FíRIN 20mm F2 FE AF lens for E-mount cameras.

The lens has the same optical design as the first FíRIN 20mm lens but now provides autofocus capability. The new lens doesn’t replace the MF only lens but is provided as another option for shooters.

Ring-shaped ultrasonic autofocus motor

For AF drive system FíRIN 20mm F2 FE AF adopts quick responsive and silent ring-shaped ultrasonic motor. Coupled with GMR sensor AF performs fast and accurate focusing.

Pricing & Availability

A prototype of the Tokina FíRIN 20mm F2 FE AF will be displayed at CP+2018 and is expected to be available at the end of April for Japan & worldwide at the end of May.

Pricing has yet to be announced but you can expect it to be more than the MF only version which retails at USD$799.
