Think Tank Photo have just announced a new partnership with hard-case manufacturer SKB. Think Tank’s designers have created internal divider sets, organizers, and a backpack designed specifically to fit within 10 SKB hard cases.
No room in the overhead lockers
There are times when you simply have to airline gate-check your precious video and camera equipment. At moments like these, nothing will do a better job of protection than a hard case. But one of the downsides of hard cases is that they are basically shells with not a lot of other features built into them.
Think Tank’s partnership with SKB solves this problem and the result is a hard SKB case with Think Tank Photo internal organization and protection.
Think Tank dividers: options to fit SKB cases
There are six different configuration options of the SKB ISERIES 3I-2011-7DL rolling case to choose from, two for the SKB ISERIES 3I-1309-6DT cases and two for the SKB ISERIES 3I-1510-6DT cases.
Think Tank Photo dividers plus SKB 3i-2011-7DL
The SKB 3i-2011-7DL is an airline carry-on approved size, watertight and dustproof rolling hard case with dividers and lid organizer designed by Think Tank.
The interior features a Nylex-wrapped closed-cell fitted foam liner and 10 nylon dividers with heavy-duty hook-and-loop tabs to create the perfect fit. The lid organizer includes laminated clear mesh pockets and a polyester-lined iPad/laptop top-load pocket.
All SKB iSeries cases come standard with an Unconditional Lifetime Warranty.

Hopefully you won’t ever have to get stuck gate-checking your gear but if you do these new SKB Think Tank hard cases will save the day. They are also nice for stacking on hand trucks and production carts. They don’t fall off as easily and if they do you can’t beat a hard case for a rough shoot.
