IBC 2016: Blackmagic Teranex AV lets you convert any HDMI or SDI video format instantaneously

Blackmagic has introduced the newest version of their Teranex line, the Teranex AV. This model features 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0a inputs, outputs, and loop through. With the Teranex AV, you’re able to take in practically any format from SD to 4K and spit out whatever you’d like on the other end.

One of the big features is the fact that latency is an extremely low 67 milliseconds, which should mean that audio and video will be synced for any live performance or live event.

In addition the Teranex AV has Quad Link 3G-SDI, which is handy for older UHD monitors and projectors that take a quad-1080p signal to display 4K.

The Teranex hardware has, in the past, been very good about scaling up content from lower resolutions, so I would expect to see those excellent capabilities here as well. The Teranex AV will be available in September at a price of €1,525 or $1,695.
