Veydra lenses are gaining a good reputation with budget minded filmmakers shooting on mirrorless cameras. The latest lens announced a few weeks ago was the 85mm T2.2 Mini Prime.

The company now has the first sample and have posted an image of the finished lens. It has the same 0.8 mod pitch gearing as the other Veydras on both focus ring and iris. Being an 85mm it is a little larger than its siblings, but still appears reasonably compact. It should be available soon from Veydra in the US and MTF Services in the UK.

Also recently launched is a custom lens support that adds a 1/4 20 mounting point to the lens. The can be attached to a rails mount or other support mechanism to prevent any slight play or rotation of the lens that can be caused by slight variations the mount between different cameras. Veydra this week posted a video showing how it works. It is easy to fit and can be moved between lenses, alternatively you can buy one for each Veydra you have.
