The Nano Tracker TL is a product designed specifically for timelapse video recording. It features a compact design and can accommodate set ups of up to 8kg including the pan head. This is quite impressive given the unit itself only weighs 400g.
It is operated via a hand controller that allows you to change the rotational speed of the main turntable to six different stages. The direction of rotation can also be changed and the rotation time can be set to 1h, 2h, 4h, 8h, 24h or 48h.
The Nano Tracker uses a worm wheel that has 50 teeth to ensure that fine movements can be made. It also has a two-drive system that uses a micro-step electric drive and stepping motor. It’s powered by three AA size alkaline batteries and can be externally powered via a USB mini connection. Sightron claim a run time of about five hours when using AA batteries and a 2kg payload.
The Nano Tracker is available for purchase from range of distributors for around $240 US.
