With Sony’s FS5 now shipping, accessory manufacturers are each starting to introduce their own lines of add-ons for Sony’s new baby camera.
Vocas are among the first to offer FS5 rig options, and at Interbee they were showing their new top plate and lens support ring. The top plate works in conjunction with the camera’s detachable handle, so you don’t sacrifice use of the camera controls built into it. You do however gain half a dozen 1/4″-20 threads so you’ll be able to attach a few more accessories to a nice stable platform on the camera.
The lens support works in conjunction with Vocas’ E-mount to PL-mount adapter and helps stabilise heavy lenses to avoid stressing the camera’s built-in mount.
The top plate will be priced at €130, the lens support at €150 and they’ll both be available in December. For more info keep an eye on the Vocas website.
