Portabrace’s Audio Tactical Vest takes its inspiration from military equipment and aims to give sound recordists the option to carry a mixer and wireless receivers around hands free, while spreading weight to avoid fatigue.

It currently fits a SoundDevices 633 or a Zaxcom Maxx mixer and four channels of wireless audio, with a clip to stow a boom pole when it’s not in use.
There’s also space for other modular accessories, a flip down flap to rest a tablet on and a storage pouch on the back of the vest.
The vest will be available in the next couple of weeks for around $450.
