Rode have launched a brilliantly simple little accessory that allows their smartLav + or Rode Lavalier to be used as a head worn mic. The Rode Lav-headset is great for situations where you really need the mic as close to the mouth as possible and is especially useful for presentations.
It is essentially a simple band that is made of spring steel and comes in three different sizes – junior, medium or large. The Lav or Smartlav simple clips onto the band and can be installed in a few seconds. Integrated cable management at the back of the band ensures the mic cable has strain relief.
