IBC 2013: Arri Amira – the documentary camera redefined?

We went hands on the new Arri Amira today at the IBC show and made this video of product manager Marcus Duerr. Arri claim their camera it is the ‘new documentary style camera’ with ‘Pick up > Shoot’. Having played with the camera a little I can say that I found it incredibly intuitive – anyone who is familiar with traditional ENG cameras is going to be at home with the Amira.

    is it just me or is that pretty much the greatest ENG/Doco/TV drama camera ever built? :-)
    My guess? $35k.
