NAB 2013: DougMon camera support system

By Features Editor Mat Gallagher:

NAB2013-DougMon from Dan Chung on Vimeo.

Dan Chung speaks to Doug, the inventor of the DougMon, a camera support system that combines a arm support with a sling system. The arm support works on its own or can be combined with the sling for heavier cameras, such as DSLRs, and two handed operation.

Cool things about this video include:

    – the fact that Dan has needed sleep for days
    – 1:12: guy yawning in the background; coffee he drank a few seconds before evidently didn’t work
    – 3:26: “Heather, come over here for a sec.” Suspense. In a male-dominated industry, one is a bit curious what a female operator is like. It’s awesome that she walks on screen chewing gum.
    – 4:25: random who walks into the background to get some sort of weird over-the-shoulder shot. Or maybe he just likes hair.
