Switronix Torch LED BOLT Review from Rick Macomber on Vimeo.

I’ve been using the new TL Bolt LED light from Switronix for the past few days and put together this short video review. The light has a variable color temperature of 3000-6000K and is said by the manufacturer to have a weather resistant contructions (not waterproof).

From now until the end of August Switronix have a special offer giving away a free compatible battery and charger with a $100 value to purchasers of the TL Bolt in the United States.

You can find out more about the Bolt LED on the Switronix website.

This light is really not that impressive. The battery life seems ok but isn’t at all reliable and the cost at around £350 (not including the cost of the additional battery and charger) seems a bit high. I’d recommend taking a look at http://www.fastforwardtime.co.uk which is my go-to-place for all my lighting gear. The lighting is powerful, affordable and many of the lights are V-Lock battery compatible which is perfect!
