NAB 2011 – FV Light wirelessly controlled LED lights

The FV Light wireless LED control system

There were lots of LED lights on show at NAB 2011, but this one stood out from the crowd. Like competing lights the FV Light LED is a square panel which comes in various versions with either single or bi-colour options but what is eye catching is the option to add an inexpensive wireless multi channel remote control system. FV Light claims the add on controller will cost around $200 when it is available. It comprises a handheld controller and a receiver unit which attaches to the back of the light fixture. If you have more lights you simply buy more of the receivers and you can control each separately from the same controller.

Another innovation is that instead of having a mains adapter in a dangling black box FV light have put it in a v-lock style power brick which simply plugs onto the back of the light. As well as mains power the light can also run on either V-lock style broadcast batteries or the smaller Sony type batteries.
